Add cinnamon sticks. Use a french press,, May 24, 2008
By christianagems

"Iced coffee should not be brewed. But using hot cinnamon water to dissolve the sugar / brown sugar / honey or creamer works well.

You can use the brew pot to make a simple syrup and add creamer/ powdered milk or flavorings. In addition to a tablespoon of powdered cinnamon Add four cinnamon sticks right to the brew pot. Use less water and OMIT the coffee...for now. Once you have brewed the cinnamon, and added any creamer, honey, brown sugar, etc. then chill. Meanwhile In a French coffee press add medium ground coffee and cold water. Let it rest overnight. Strain your cold brewed coffee and discard the grounds. Add cold brewed coffee to your cinnamon syrup. Serve over crushed ice. Yum.

If you do not have a French press, just filter the brewed coffee. Some people suggest using a fine filter to get the silt. I love the silt...that's the flavor and the benefit of a French press."
