"This recipe is very similar to Marcella Hazen's and it is quite good. I have varied it depending on what I have on hand. In Marcella's recipe it calls for a pinch of nutmeg rather than the allspice. I made this recipe yesterday as a matter of fact and I discoverd I was out of white wine, so I substituted Marsala wine, it was fantastic. I will use the Marsala in lieu of the white from now on. Also I like to use a good quality store bought sauce such as Gia Russo and Mario Batali's. Both are fantasic instead of the plain canned tomatos or even fresh tomatos. Try it you'll like it!"
