One very important point: Temperture,

"I love making bread and have been doing it for years. However, I have a problem with recipes that call for "warm water". In my opinion, this advice is a major reason that people fail when they make bread. The water should be between 105-115 deg.s.; if not, it is possible (likely) that your yeast will not proof. Don't waste your time and ingredients: USE A THERMOMETER. And then enjoy."
