Too bland for my taste,

"I agree that this was super-easy to make, but . . .
I found this sauce too bland and flavorless. I adore walnuts and used real butter, but didn't like it much. Others at the table agreed with me, except one, who loves the white gravy some people pour over biscuits. He said this reminded him of that gravy."
