My Mistake with This Recipe,

"Well, I have to admit that I'm not a great cook, or baker. So, when I baked this dessert I didn't understand about self-rising flour, and used regular flour. It came out of the oven, a mess, didn't spread out in the pan, was way too much liquid... yada yada... Well, I had to bring something to a Lions club picnic in about two hours. No time or ingredients to make another dessert. So I improvised. Chopped the "cobbler" into little pieces in the baking pan and mixed it with the liquid it had been baked in. Then spread cherry pie filling all over it, then a layer of miniature marshmallows, then flaked cocoanut. Then back in the oven for about 5 minutes to melt and brown etc. Served with Cool Whip topping. Everybody thinks I am a great baker!!!"
