"I've made this recipe twice and it has been well loved by my entire family, even the small ones. The ricotta salata and the broccoli are a very nice match. I've even used overripe broccoli from my garden once and the ricotta salata cut the bitter taste very nicely. The second time I made it, I couldn't find orecchetti pasta so I substituted Barilla piccolini wagon wheels (tiny wagon wheels) for the orecchetti and they captured the broccoli and cheese just as well. This will be a favorite for us during broccoli season."
