Surprisingly successful,

"Pineapple burgers?? But I had leftover pineapple in the fridge, so I picked up some brown-and-serve buns and dove in. I began by cooking the bacon and buns over direct heat -- both were firsts for me, and both turned out well. While the burgers and pineapple cooked, I loaded up the buns with the bacon, cheese and onions. I thought it looked dry, so I spread a blend of teriyaki and mayo on the buns. My wife said these were the best burgers she's ever had. Direct heat and pineapple sure play well together!"
